At the stage of forming my professional identity I always felt the important role of the teachers of the Department of Pedagogical and Age Psychology of that time Faculty of Psychology of Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University, who inculcated love for the profession, demonstrating an example of high intellectual humanity, pedagogical tact and empathy.
After graduating from the University, I realized that hundreds of other promising, creative and interesting students would take my place. However, the place of my favorite teachers, in particular the bright memory of a Candidate of Psychological Sciences, an Associate Professor Liudmyla Potapchuk, is always kept in my soul for them! They, as professionals, believed in me more than I sometimes believe in my own strength. In cases, when I hesitated or was mistaken, I was always made to understand professionally, sincerely and suggestively that personal self-actualization is possible and it is only necessary to mobilize one's own cognitive potentials, having harmonized emotional reactions and relationships with micro- and macro-society.
Now, having gone through a rather long path of professional self-assertion in the bodies of internal affairs, a deep understanding is being established that every step and every decision in the profession is a consequence of that deep, high-quality, filled not only with information, but also with love and warmth study at the Faculty of Psychology under the scientific supervision and human care of the teachers of the Department of Pedagogical and Age Psychology. The department was and remains a moderator and motivator of my professional development!
Despite the excessive workload in wartime conditions, I always try to come to my native faculty as often as possible, to meet the students, the Master's students, and the teachers. Recently, in the circle of the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, a Candidate of Psychological Sciences, an Associate Professor Tamara Duchyminska, the Head of the Department of Pedagogical and Age Psychology, a Doctor of Psychological Sciences, a Professor Yaroslav Goshovskyi, the Candidates of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professors of the Department Daria Goshovska, Nataliia Kordunova, Mykhailo Kots, a PhD student Tetiana Shevtsova it has been managed not only to remember the nostalgic moments of the student past, but also to have a professional conversation about the specifics of providing psychological help during the war and to choose those educational components from the Master's training program that will help them to master the complex, eternal and always necessary science of psychology in a deeper and better way.
