The Faculty of International Relations of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University is preparing for the admission campaign. Lekturers systematically communicate with young people.
Recently, some, applicants came to the Faculty of International Relations, with whom Dean Antonina Shuliak spoke. Three friends – Bohdana Petryk, Sofiia Silvestrova and Yaroslava Bessarab – live and study in Lutsk. The girls decided to continue their education in their hometown have chosen Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University as their priority.
The school leavers said that many of their friends and relatives study at the University. It was their positive evaluation that motivated the girls to choose this higher education institution. “My sister and many friends from school study here. They told me so many positive things about your department, that I got interested in this University” said Bohdana Petryk.
Another advantage is studying in your native town and the convenient location of buildings. Former schoolgirls told that their parents support their desire to get further education in Lutsk.
Antonina Shuliak, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, informed the applicants in detail about the educational and professional programs “International Information and Public Communications”, “International Relations” and “Regional Security” and employment prospects after receiving a diploma of higher education. Girls were especially interested in the educational and professional program “Regional Security”.
“This is a new specialty that have opened this year. This specialty is related to our region. I mean, the Lublin Triangle: Poland–Baltic States–Ukraine. It is about ecological, economic security and everything related to this region. We are a border region and we always need to be on guard, so the specialty is relevant and in demand,” said the head of the faculty.
Antonina Shuliak also spoke about international student exchange programs, cooperation with China and the future projects of studying Chinese at the faculty.
After the conversation with the dean, the applicants became even more interested in studying there, and decided on specific majors at the faculty. “I got interested in the specialty “International Relations”. This is an opportunity to to realize yourself at the level of the country and beyond, and improve life in it. It is also interesting to establish cooperation with other countries. It is quite interesting and informative,” said Sofiia Silvestrova.
Yaroslava Bessarab said that she still hesitates in choosing: “The specialties “International information and Public Communication” and “Regional security” are quite relevant and important in war conditions. It is important that people abroad know the true information about the events in Ukraine. Therefore, I will think about it and choose between these specialties.”
