Among 50 business teachers from Ukrainian higher education institutions, the team startup Balcony Life gained the victory in the international Starter Academia YEP (Ukraine) and University of Tartu (Estonia) program! This is a project to develop an application that will help to organize the cultivation of plants at home using renewable energy with the help of secondary processing of raw materials. The team consists of associate professors of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University Tetiana Sak (Department of Economics and Security of Enterprise) and Natalia Hrytsiuk (Department of Management and Administration). In August, they are going to the biggest business conference in Estonia – Startup Day!
The program consisted of three months of theory and development of own projects, mentoring sessions and preparation for the final of the project. The participants had only three minutes for the pitch to interest the audience and the Ukrainian-Estonian judges. The event took place within the “Enterprising University” project, which started in autumn, 2021.
