A University student – the winner of the US Junior Championship

The sports event that took place on June 24 has become a historic one not only for Ukraine but also for the United States. Valeriia Sholomytska, a first-year student of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports, and Health, made a loud statement about Ukraine by winning the U20 USA Track and Field Championship. A student of Olena Borysiuk covered the distance of 10 thousand meters (sport walking) in 46:46.97 minutes.

It is the first time in the history of the US national championships that athletes from another country have been allowed to compete in it.

The faculty staff sincerely congratulates Valeria on her victory and expresses great respect and gratitude to her coach Olena Borysiuk! Good luck to you, girls!
