The students, lecturers and administrative staff of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University joined the charity race “Let’s Defend Our Border”.
On May 28, committed citizens gathered in the Lesya Ukrainka Central Park of Culture and Recreation expressing their incentive to support Volyn border guards. Among the participants of the charity race were the University Rector Anatolii Tsios, the Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Communications Natalia Blahovirna, the Dean of the Faculty of History, Political Science and National Security Yaroslav Yarosh, the Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogical Education and Social Work Volodymyr Antoniuk, the Dean of the Faculty of Sports and Health Vasyl Pantik.
The Students and teaching staff of other faculties, the employees of the University structural divisions also joined the race.
The Rector of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University Anatolii Tsios stressed that participation in such events is very important to support the military and unite people.
“Our support and help is important for our defenders. The Victory is therefore approached by volunteering and participating in such events,” said Anatolii Vasyliovych.
Thanks to the marathon “Let’s Defend Our Border” almost 70 thousand hryvnias were fundraised. The money will be transferred to strengthen the border.
