A charity race “Approaching the Victory” was organised in Lutsk central park, during which funds were raised to help our Volyn 14 OMBr of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
For the convenience of participants and more charitable contributions, the organising committee allowed to “running” online option.
In their turn, the representatives of the Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University announced a powerful real time team led by Rector Anatolii Tsios. Each participant not only determined his own distance (from 1400 meters to 14 kilometers), but also the amount of application fees creatively coined: 250 hryvnias – “Javelin”; 400 hryvnias – “Bayraktar”; 600 hryvnias – Stugna; 800 hryvnias – “Neptune”; 1000 hryvnias – “Bomb for the old bunker bastard”.
“I am always happy to join actions combining physical education and charity. And I am doubly pleased that our educational institution has become an important part of this action,” Anatolii Tsios summed up.
Having overcome their distance, the University team raised more than 140,000 hryvnias to fund a purchase of Garmin GPS trackers for our soldiers.
