Together with the City Council, Lublin City Hall, Marie Curie-Skłodowska University and the Child Effect NGO, Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University is implementing the “Enterprising Children: Lutsk–Lublin” project within the framework of the SME Support Program.
According to the Lutsk City Council website, in the relevant events students and teachers of secondary schools, Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University and Maria Curie-Skłodowska University of Lublin are involved, as well as commercial enterprises of both cities.
The project includes comprehensive training sessions, workshops and field trips aimed at acquiring business skills by school and university students, demonstration of real examples of the existing business patterns of Lutsk and Lublin, the processes of economic development of specific enterprises and increase of their potential, and provision of the basics of business education to the participants.
The project also provides for cooperation with companies and entrepreneurs of Lutsk and Lublin with simultaneous support of the qualified personnel of the universities in both cities. Due to the multi-vector orientation of the project, the growth in the level of economic knowledge among primary school children, creativity and entrepreneurship of young people is expected. This will ultimately lead to increased entrepreneurship among graduates entering the labor market after graduation and provide a list of priority enterprises and goods manufactured by them.
