The opening of the exhibition of Emma Andievska’s works available in the Korsaks Museum of Modern Ukrainian Art, took place in Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University Museum.
The event was attended by Rector Anatolii Tsos, Vice-Rector for Academic Work and Recruitment Yurii Hromyk, Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Communication Nataliia Blahovirna, Dean of Faculty of Philology and Journalism Liliia Lavrynovych, Director of Lesya Ukrainka Museum Tetyana Danyliuk-Tereshchuk, lecturers and students of Faculty of Philology and Journalism, Zoya Navrotska and Lesia Korsak, representatives of the Korsaks Museum of Modern Ukrainian Art. At the beginning of the ceremonial exhibition opening, Tetiana Danyliuk-Tereshchuk thanked Lesya Korsak and Viktor Korsak for the opportunity to accept the works of the outstanding Ukrainian writer and artist Emma Andievska at the University.
Rector Anatolii Tsos noted that during the war, it is important to be active and live life to the fullest. «Our University tries to live actively and look for ways for improvement of its work. It is primarily about education, assistance of the Armed Forces and art. I thank the Korsaks Museum of Modern Ukrainian Art for cooperation, because our joint work should be aimed at creating positive emotions that each of us needs,» said Anatolii Vasyliovych.
During her speech, Lesya Korsak emphasized the Emma Andievska’s extraordinary character, spoke about her creative and work path and awards from abroad. After that, everyone present listened to Zoya Navrotska’s lecture «Emma Andievska: Personality and Artist». Visitors to the exhibition were also able to participate in the collection of first-aid kits and tactical backpacks for military medics.
The exhibition will be open in the University museum until December 21. A number of events will take place within it. In particular, on December 19 at 1:30 p.m. a poetry flash mob «Emma’s poem» is held, and on December 20 at 3:00 p.m. «Dialogues about Emma: Lesya Korsak, Serhii Romanov».
