The workers of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University handed humanitarian assistance from the citizens of Warsaw to the army. This event was supported by the Institute of Literary Studies of Polish Academy of Sciences in cooperation with Ukraine’s Friends Society.
The cooperation of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University with the Institute of Literary Studies of Polish Academy of Sciences is not limited to the international project “Geographical Polish Studies − a virtual bridge between cultures”, but it has also developed into a real act of charity. Polish colleagues have supported Ukraine since the beginning of the war.
The Institute of Literary Studies of Polish Academy of Sciences initiated the fundraising to buy basic necessities for the Ukrainian Heroes at the front line. The Ukraine’s Friends Society in Warsaw successfully implemented the delivery, and the rector of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, Professor Anatoly Tsos, directly handed all the essentials to the solders in the place of combat missions. We would like to thank the Institute of Literary Studies of Polish Academy of Sciences and the Ukraine’s Friends Society, and all those who participated in the fundraising, for their caring, cooperation, and effective help.
