The interns of the university specialty «Orthopaedics and Traumatology» have passed the certification. On June 27, 2023, a meeting was held at Volyn Regional Clinical Hospital attended by the representatives of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, the medical institution, and intern doctors.
Intern doctors in the specialty «Orthopaedics and Traumatology» have fully completed the internship training programme and passed the certification for the attestation of knowledge and practical skills to be awarded the title of «Doctor-Specialist».
The certification consisted of two stages: an interview and a professional exam. The certification commission included: Anatolii Tsos, Rector of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University; Head of Department of Clinical Medicine, Medical Director of Surgery, the «Volyn Regional Clinical Hospital» communal enterprise Mykola Halei; Andrii Poruchynskyi, Dean of Medical Faculty; Professor of Department of Clinical Medicine, Orthopedic Traumatologist at VRCH Adrian Fil.
The interns said that they managed to gain a lot of experience and practical skills, and assured of their readiness to act as doctors. In addition, they noted that they had worked in operating rooms, engaged in rehabilitation, provided emergency care, been on duty, registered patients, and more.
Rector of University, Anatolii Tsos, thanked the interns for their conscientious training, and the specialists of Volyn Regional Clinical Hospital for passing on their experience to the younger generation.
Dean of Faculty of Medicine Andrii Poruchynskyi noted the necessity of life-long studies because medicine is a very dynamic field.
«It is a great benefit to learn and help people. An even greater blessing is to teach someone. I am satisfied with our young doctors. They worked both day and night in hospital staffrooms and operating rooms. I am very grateful to the university for such specialists,» Adrian Phil said.
