The employees of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University will donate part of their salaries to the needs of Ukrainian defenders.
This decision was agreed upon during a meeting of the Academic Council of the higher education institution.
During the Academic Council meeting, the University Rector Anatolii Tsios addressed the audience with a request to transfer one-day earnings to cover the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"We live and want to live in a free European society, a European state, so the efficiency of our activities, the future of our state, depends on how quickly the Ukrainian army will stop and defeat the enemy. We need to help everyone as much as possible and do everything to make Ukraine's victory as quick as possible. Therefore, I propose to transfer one-day earnings to the official accounts of the Armed Forces," the Rector said.
Anatolii Vasyliovych remarked that employees had approached him with such proposals. In particular, representatives of the Faculty of Geography recently proposed to transfer part of the salary for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
All members of the Academic Council supported this proposal.
