Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University joined the charity marathon “Approaching the Victory” which raised funds for the defenders of Ukraine.
The venue took place on Saturday, May 7, at Lesya Ukrainka Central Park of Culture and Recreation.
A charity fair was organised on the central alley of the park, where delicacies, souvenirs, clothes with patriotic inscriptions were on sale for all interested. The location of the face art was set, patriotic photo zones, etc. were also posted.
The students of the Medical Faculty of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University also joined the marathon. As future doctors, students did their usual work measuring everyone's blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen level with a pulse oximeter.
Lutsk citizens got especially interested in the medical hand-held dynamometer to measure the muscular strength of the hand.
“Tonometers are hard to surprise with, because of Covid-19, many people rush to have a pulse oximeter at home, and the dynamometer is also popular. People are afraid of the crew in white coats, so they do not ask for our help en masse, but still several individuals had their blood pressure and blood oxygen levels measured,”said a student Olena Gohulia.
Air alarms and natural “surprises” slightly delayed the concert, but it still went on. Maria Hursenko, Serafyn, Artur Bosso, Anna Dobrydneva, Andriy Kniaz, Andriana, Andriy Zalisko, Ana Danch, Kailen, Tetyana Yaroshik with her students and others delighted Lutsk citizens with their songs.
The University representatives also performed on the stage, the famous in Volyn and abroad Luciano men's quartet consisting of Vladyslav Semeniuk, Vasyl Zakreva, Oleksandr Marach and Andrii Granat. The vocalists performed the folk songs “Tuman yarom” and “Chornomorets, matinko”. The audience especially liked the performance of the song “Nese Galia Wodu” (“Carries Galya Water”) in the original modern arrangement.
The ensemble “Volynianochka” and the pupils of the “Hertz” (Ukr. Cossak artistic battle) sports club also performed for Lutsk.
All funds raised during the charity marathon “Approaching Victory” will be donated to the 14th OMBR named after Prince Roman the Great.
