Supported by the Department of Youth and Sports of Lutsk City Council, Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University organised a series of Easter workshops named "Easter Miracle" conducted by the Department of Fine Arts.
On Monday, April 11, the first announced event took place involving decorating Easter accoutrements. Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University’s main building was chosen for the venue. The participants were citizens who moved to Lutsk due to the enemy aggression, and all volunteers, including, in particular, Lesya's community members.
At the beginning of the workshop, the Head of the Department of Fine Arts Olga Kaleniuk took the floor: “These workshops are dedicated to Easter. Each of them will be led by a different instructor. We are glad that you came, your friends and acquaintances are welcome. We invite everyone to join." Afterwards, Olga Kaleniuk invited Yulia Sholomanova, an Assistant of the Department of Fine Arts directly conducting the workshop.
The participants discussed Easter traditions, decorating process details, and then got down to work. Yulia Sholomanova noted that it is not the result which is important, but the process itself in similar events including the elements of art therapy.
During the next workshops, Easter eggs and decoration of textiles will be taught.
