On the initiative of the Rector of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, Professor Anatolii Tsos and Associate Professor of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Marketing Lyudmila Shostak, an Agreement on cooperation with the department of the National Mediation and Conciliation Service in Volyn region (head Volodymyr Demydyuk) was signed on May 31.
Future cooperation will be aimed at raising the level of legal awareness of students; introduction of scientific developments in the field of social and labor relations; carrying out career guidance work for students to acquire practical knowledge about the legally defined ways of resolving collective labor disputes (conflicts), reducing the level of conflictogenity and stabilizing social and labor relations in the staff of enterprises (institutions, organizations).
The participants of the meeting also discussed the state of social and labor relations at Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University in connection with the introduction of martial law in Ukraine, in particular the issue of wages.
Volodymyr Demydyuk, the head of the National Mediation and Reconciliation Service in Volyn region, assured further assistance in providing practical information, counseling and holding training lectures for all interested students who care about their rights.
Rector Anatolii Tsos emphasized the need and practical focus of involving practitioners in the educational process. Practical skills actually enable our University to train specialists who are competitive in the labor market of Ukraine.
