On June 1, Ukraine celebrates Children’s Day. On the occasion of the holiday, Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University organised a thematic event “Children are our happy future.” Its participants were Lutsk citizens and internally displaced persons.
On the square which is if front of the main building, many interesting locations were arranged, presented by the faculties and other structural subdivisions of the University. Cheerleading, fitness warm-up, body art, exercises, thematic exhibitions and master classes were waiting for the holiday visitors.
It is worth mentioning that many children who had been forced to leave their homes due to the war joined the holiday. The kids had fun, drew patriotic pictures, played with animators.
One little guest was celebrating his birthday so Rector Anatolii Tsios congratulated the boy on his holiday and presented him with a gift. “Our task is to preserve our children’s health, their safety and make them happy,” said the University governor.
The action ended with a dance flashmob “Oh, red viburnum in the meadow” (Ukr. “Oy u luzi chervona kalyna”).
