Description

Foundation year: The Department of Romance Languages and   Interlinguistics was created at the Department of English Philology on February 23, 1998 by order of 14 k/v as the Department of Romance and Classical Languages.

Historical background:

The first Head of Department was - Doctor of Education, associate professor Hunchik I.O. (1998-2009). In 2009-2010s, professor, Doctor of Philology M. V Moklytsiia, headed the department. From 2010 to 2011 years the Head of the Department of Romance Languages and Translation was professor M. A. Olikova In 2011-2012 O. V  Stanislav executed responsibilities. Since September 2012 the head of the department has been professor N. A. Danyluk who has formed a new direction for the research department, such as Interlinguistics.

Staff:

The Department of Romance Languages and Interlinguistics has 12 full-time teachers: Victoria Andrievska , Ludmila  Bondaruk, Irina Grynyshina, Olena Goose, Irina Hunchik, Olga Maziar, Maria Moklytsya, Oksana Martyniuk, Olga Stanislav, Tatiana Tytiuk, Tatiana Khaichevska, Olga Khirochynska, including one doctor of philological sciences, two candidates of pedagogical sciences, four candidates of philological sciences, four senior teachers and two assistants. On the basis of internal secondary employment there is: Doctor of Philology, the Head of the Department of Romance Languages and Interlinguistics N. A Danyluk.    On the basis of external secondary employment there is a teacher of Spanish N. V. Matiuk.

The main areas of research:

Principal research is conducted on the basics of discursive analysis and socio ethnolinguistics and stylistics, modern linguistic trends, gender linguistics, the theory and practice of translation, psycholinguistics and pragmalinguistics.
